2025 Porsche Taycan Gets A Lot More Range

Porsche's EV sedan will see up to 318 miles of EPA-estimated range

Earlier this year, Porsche unveiled the Taycan Turbo, a new flagship version of their EV sports sedan with significantly more range than the models further down the range. Now, Porsche has announced range increases for the rest of the lineup as well.

The range increases are due to added efficiency in addition to a larger battery. It's impressive that Porsche has increased the efficiency considering the added weight of a bigger battery. The current Taycan is rated for 206-246 miles of range, depending on the variant. For the 2025 model year, the range will increase to 252 miles on the low end to as much as 318 miles for the entry-level version equipped with the Performance Battery Plus package, which increases the battery size from 89 kWh to 105 kWh.

In all, Porsche offers 12 variations of the Taycan and each are advertised with a different range depending on their configuration. Drive configuration (RWD vs. AWD), wheel size, battery size and performance upgrades can all impact the final range on offer.

The base Taycan will start just under $100,000 and will max out at $230,000 for the top-of-the-range Taycan Turbo GT.
