Kia has taken the wraps off of their EV3 and EV4 electric vehicle concepts at the LA Auto Show, along with an brand new 2025 Sorento plug-in hybrid SUV.
Details are slim on the EV3 & EV4. The EV3 is a small and boxy crossover that we could imagine being an easy transition for anyone who likes the Kia Soul. The EV4 is a compact but elongated lift-back sedan with truly unique proportions. Both vehicles offer cheerful, minimal interiors with soft ambient lighting and calming pastel colors. Kia says they're experimenting with new, more sustainable materials like plastics produced from biomass sources such as vegetable oils, corn extract, sawdust and sugarcane, and Bio Polyurethane as a replacement for animal-based leather.
Both vehicles show an evolved design language that Kia calls "opposites united", and a refined take on their tiger-inspired fascia.
The Kia Sorento PHEV is an all-new design for 2025, a much taller, boxier and more rugged look than the outgoing model, which Kia says is inspired by the Telluride. This Sorento also has design elements that tie it into the family with new EV9 SUV, most notably the front lighting signature. Details about EV range and pricing will have to wait for another press release, but we do know this Sorento will be available later next year.
